The CAD model was created using Onshape and was based on the original field dimensions and similar wood builds of the park. The field dimensions were scaled down by a factor of 1524, or 1mm for every 5ft. This ensured the end size of the CAD model would fit within a 20 cm square for later fabrication. Each layer was also separated into different parts to be laser cut with their attached etches of seating rows.
The CAD parts were then turned into 2D shapes and laser cut into 3mm wood. After all the parts were cut, the floors were attached using wood glue and set to dry, leading to the final result.
Future iterations would include more detail in the field by adding a Red Sox logo in center field. Moreover, additional details would be included in the overhead box and outfield display to better showcase the park's features. Other attractions around the park, such as Jersey St and the CITGO sign would be added rather than a blank backboard. Finally, the laser cut would be adjusted to a higher setting to ensure a single clean cut to remove deformities.
